tHE DOLLS WERE LISTENING

my life from abuse to victory

This deeply personal and emotionally compelling memoir invites readers into the unforgettable journey of Trisha McLoughlin’s life. Through memories tied to the dolls that marked different chapters of her childhood, Trisha revisits moments of innocence, heartbreak, longing, and survival. Each doll represents more than a childhood possession; it becomes a symbol of experiences, emotions, and life-changing moments that helped shape her identity and the person she would ultimately become.

With honesty and remarkable courage, Trisha shares the realities of growing up through abandonment, family struggles, emotional trauma, and painful experiences that left lasting scars. As a young child searching for love, acceptance, and a sense of belonging, she often found herself trying to understand circumstances beyond her control. Yet even during the darkest moments of fear and uncertainty, a quiet determination lived within her, a determination that refused to surrender to pain or allow hardship to dictate the course of her life. Her story reflects not only suffering but also the incredible strength of the human spirit.
